Docket No. 3759 - Implementation of the Requirements of the Energy Policy Act of 2005
At a July 27, 2006 open meeting, the PUC initiated this docket to implement the requirements of the Energy Policy Act of 2005 ("EPACT") and those sections of the omnibus state energy act, the Comprehensive Energy Conservation, Efficiency and Affordability Act of 2006 ("RI Act") that correspond to those requirements of the EPACT 2005. Commission Staff convened a pre-hearing conference on August 17, 2006 to discuss the issues contained in the EPACT and the overlapping issues in the RI Act. The parties identified at the pre-hearing were: National Grid, The Energy Council of RI, the RI Senate Policy Office, the RI Office of Energy Resource, the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers, and Environment Northeast. The parties were asked to file comments regarding its compliance and applicability the provisions of the EPACT and the RI Act. The following parties filed comments on September 18:
