Docket No. 4113 - Rate Structure Review of Water Utilites

The Commission established this docket to address, as a policy matter, operating revenue allowances of regulated water utilities. In this docket, the Commission is interested in reviewing information regarding rate design methodologies that might address the impact of declining consumption on revenues while taking into account the State's stated policy of encouraging conservation, particularly through pending legislation that encourages conservation based rates. On October 6, 2009, the Commission issued a data request to the water utilities and to the Narragansett Bay Commission. Responses were filed by the the following utilities:
