Heating Sector Transformation Initiative

Reliable, safe and affordable heating options are critical to the well-being of Rhode Island businesses and families. Guided by the greenhouse gas emission reduction goals of the Resilient Rhode Island Act, the Division of Public Utilities and Carriers, in concert with other state agencies including the Office of Energy Resources, seeks to develop a comprehensive regulatory strategy to manage the transformation of the heating sector with least cost and greatest benefit for Rhode Island customers.
